The world famous headquarters of ‘Mahima Dharma’, Joranda is the holiest place for its followers. The Gadi Manidr, Dhuni Mandir, Jyoti Manidr & the Ashrams all are the attractive spots within the exquisite temple complex. Magha Mella known as Prabhu Prunima which falls in January to February every year is the greatest festival attracting devotees from far & wide.
Joranda, the birth place of Mahima Dharma and land of spiritualism has attracted the
attention of the people from inside the state and abroad. The kaupindhari Mahima Samaj
headed by Srimat Jatia Baba became the parton of this college.
Thus the college with the name Mahima Mahavidyalaya Started on August 01, 1978. The
college got govt. recognition and university affiliation in 1979-80. In 19986, +3 classes ware opened with full grant in aid from 1st June, 1988. The strength of the students which was 49
in 1978 has grown up to 850 in 2006. Being situated in the midst of natural surroundings specially in the midst of sal forest and hills the college bears a spiritual base which has a
great impact in building the characters of the students.
